Assistant Director of Communications –Arizona State University August 2023 – Present

Returning to my alma mater Arizona State University, I joined the Educational Outreach and Student Services strategic marketing team in August 2023 as assistant director, with a focus on digital content and storytelling. I find fulfillment in the ability to give back to my school by helping to amplify and share the important stories of the ASU Sun Devils, while working directly with students and professionals across the university and on all four campuses. I assist with marketing needs by writing copy, creating social media strategy and monitoring accounts, building and sending marketing emails, scheduling staged marketing photo shoots, covering events with photography and preparing analytic reporting. I also serve as a mentor for our student media team and handle student hiring, budgeting and purchase orders. I lead our monthly team meetings, plan semester-end celebrations and birthday cards for staff.

Editor-in-Chief – ICONIC LIFE Magazine November 2021 – August 2023

The luxury magazine has an emphasis on design, architecture, style, food and travel, with an online site that publishes daily and ten print issues per year. I managed and scheduled the daily article postings on iconiclife.com, as well as oversaw the print issues from start to finish. I wrote stories, edited every article for grammar and clarity, managed the freelance contributors, and oversaw pitches, all while organizing the editorial calendar. I also handled organizing editorial photo shoots, public relations, the brand’s style guide, leading weekly team meetings and updating stories with SEO best practices. I started my journey at ICONIC LIFE Magazine as a freelance writer in May 2021, joined full-time as the Editorial and Communications Manager in November 2021, and then was promoted to Editor-in-Chief in March 2023.

Social Media Specialist – StrongMind August 2020 – November 2021

I managed the organic social media content creation for clients of StrongMind, a provider of K-12 digital curriculum solutions. I wrote, designed graphics and scheduled social media content for several schools across the United States, while responding to comments, compiling reporting and working collaboratively within the marketing department on student enrollment campaigns.

Marketing Communications Specialist – Spear Education May 2019 – April 2020

I researched and wrote marketing collateral, crisis communications, emails and landing pages for the top dental continuing education school in the U.S. I managed the Spear Digest blog, interviewing sources, writing blog posts and editing technical writing submissions from dentists and other contributors.

Social Media Specialist – Reputation.com June 2016 – May 2019

I managed social media content for clients of Reputation.com, spanning multiple industries. I designed graphics, wrote copy and scheduled the content on the behalf of clients, both for organic and paid ads. I was promoted from Social Media Coordinator to Social Media Specialist in August 2017, and I was awarded the company “Rockstar” of the quarter award.
